  • Graduation:

A high school diploma is an integral part of a child becoming a successful adult. It not only opens doors to students in the workforce and for further education, but also give students a sense of completion and pride. The Starfish Foundation is working with the school systems and local government agencies to ensure funding is not an issue for student graduation and receiving diplomas. We are also hoping to find meaningful ways to provide support to students when making post-graduation and life changing decisions.

  • Middle School Washington DC trip:

The Starfish Foundation recognizes the importance of the middle school Washington D.C. trip that each of the Hamilton City middle schools take annually. This trip is not only educational in the traditional sense, but gives the kids opportunities to think independently and grow socially. The Starfish Foundation hopes to help by sending at least 1 deserving student from each Hamilton City middle school on the annual trip.

  • School Activities and clubs:

The Starfish Foundation recognizes the importance that activities like arts, sports, and clubs play in supporting and promoting inclusion and social interaction and developing self-discipline and self-worth. The Starfish Foundation plans to help students have opportunities to participate in such activities by eliminating any financial obstructions and would like to work toward eliminating other roadblocks.

  • Workforce Development and Life Skills Lessons:

The Starfish Foundation sees a need in the community to help students learn workforce and life skills to help get them ready for future stages in their lives. We propose to do this by hosting workforce development classes and well as life skills learning opportunities.

  • Anti-Bullying Program:

We would like to help establish an Anti-Bullying programming in each school to ensure all students can feel safe and confident and able to achieve great things in their school.
